How to get the audio from a TikTok or Instagram video you saved

If a TikTok or Instagram video is already on your phone, because you made it or the app let you save it, Extractune can pull out its sound as an MP3, or separate the voice from the music, right in your browser.
First, have the video on your phone
Extractune works with files, not links, so the video needs to be saved on your phone first. Your own posts and drafts can be saved from each app; other people's videos can only be saved where the app offers it.
Only reuse sound you have the right to: your own content, or material you're allowed to use.
Get the audio, step by step

- 3Trim to the part you want, if you like, and tap Extract audio.
- 4Tap Download. MP3 works everywhere; WAV keeps the most quality for editing.
Just the voice, or just the music
Many videos are someone talking over a song. Tap Split audio after extracting to get the voice and the music as separate tracks: keep the voiceover without the soundtrack, or the backing without the talking.
Keep just the moment you want
Short videos often open with a hook and end with a call to follow. Drag the trim handles in to keep only the stretch you want before extracting; the times show above the slider as you drag. You can come back for another part of the same video with Extract another, without picking the file again.
Which format to download
MP3 plays everywhere and is small, which suits a ringtone, a voice note or listening later. WAV is the one to pick for editing, because nothing more is lost when you cut and re-export it. WebM is the smallest of the three and the quickest to save, and it plays in browsers and most modern apps.
On a computer
The same steps work on a laptop or desktop: move the video over from your phone, open extractune.com/extract in Chrome, Edge or Safari, and drop the file onto the page. Files up to 500MB and 20 minutes work, far more than any short video needs.
Find the song, or the words
Tap Get the words to transcribe what's said and check whether the music is a known song. This is the one feature that sends audio off your phone: a compressed copy of the audio is transcribed, and a short clip is checked against a song database. The video itself is never uploaded.
