What the voice isolator separates, and what it doesn't
It separates a voice from music: speech or singing on one side, the instruments on the other. It's the same split that makes acapellas and karaoke tracks, so it works on a talking video and a song alike.
It doesn't remove noise. Wind, hum, traffic and room echo aren't music, so they stay with the voice. The mixer's Clean up voice softens rumble and harshness, but it isn't a noise remover.
Where the music is much louder than the voice, faint traces of it can stay, so listen before you download. The video comes back in the format it came in, with the picture copied as it is, not re-encoded, so it loses no quality.

How do I remove background music from a video?
Upload the video and tap Make an acapella: it pulls out the audio and splits it in one go. The voice alone is picked for you when the split is done: listen, and download the video with just the voice, or the audio alone.
Will the voice sound clean?
Usually, yes. Where the music is very loud under the voice, faint traces can remain, so listen before you download. The music is available on its own too, if you need it.
Can I get the video back with the voice only?
Yes. The download is the video itself with only the voice as its sound, in the same format it came in (MP4, WebM or MKV).
Does it work on a song too?
Yes. Pick an MP3, WAV or M4A instead of a video and you get the vocals alone, an acapella.
Can I keep the music and remove the voice instead?
