Stem splitter: split any song into stems

Pick a song, or a video with it in, and Extractune separates it into four stems: vocals, drums, bass and everything else. Stem separation runs on your device, so nothing is uploaded and there's no account or monthly limit.

Split a song into stems

Free, no sign-up. Your video never leaves your device.

How it works

  1. 1 / 3

    Pick the song

MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, or a video with the song in, up to 500MB. Trim to the part you need.

  2. 2 / 3

    Extract, then tap Split audio

The first split downloads the separation model once (about 172MB) and your browser keeps it.

  3. 3 / 3

    Download the stems

Each stem as MP3, WAV or WebM, all four as a zip, or mix them in the studio first.

Up to 5 minutes per split with a graphics chip, 2 without.

What people use it for

  • Pull the stems of a song for a remix or a mashup.
  • Practice your instrument with that part taken out.
  • Study how a mix is built, one stem at a time.
  • Make an acapella or an instrumental.
