For bass players: a bassless track
The same split takes the bass out instead. After it finishes, tap Bassless: the voice, drums and everything else stay, and you play the bass line with the band that recorded it. The kick drum stays too, so you lock in with it as you would on stage.
To learn the part first, solo the bass in the mixer. If the song is tuned a half step down, Key on the Practice tab moves it up a semitone at a time without changing its speed, so it plays along with a bass in standard tuning at +1.
Questions
How do I make a drumless track?
Pick the song or a video with it in and tap Make a drumless track: it pulls out the audio and splits it in one go. Drumless is picked for you when the split is done: listen, trim if you like, and download it as MP3, WAV or WebM.
Can I hear just the drums too?
Yes. Solo the drums in the mixer to hear the drum part alone, or set a volume for the voice, drums, bass and everything else.
Will every cymbal be gone?
Mostly. Cymbals and hi-hats are the hardest part of a kit to separate, so on some songs faint traces of them stay. Listen before you download.
Can I make a bassless track instead?
Yes. Split the song the same way, then turn the bass down instead of the drums. Both come from one split, so switching between them is instant.
Can I slow the song down to practise?
Yes. On the Practice tab, set Speed as low as 50% without changing the pitch: the drumless mix plays and downloads at that speed.
Is it free?
Yes. No sign-up and no watermark: upload a video, split it, and download the drumless track for free.
Does my video get uploaded?
No. The video, the extracted audio and the split all stay on your device: separating the parts runs in your browser, not on a server.
