Extractune is run by Plume & Throttle, an independent developer studio in the Philippines.
What Extractune does
Extractune works on audio and video files you open in it. It can split a song into parts, slow it down or change its key, turn a video into audio, get the words or subtitles, find a song, make waveform and lyric videos, and keep time with a metronome.
Extractune never downloads or streams media from YouTube or any other site or link. It only works on files you open.
Where your files are processed
The work happens on your device, in your browser, and nothing is uploaded. The exceptions are when you ask for the words, subtitles or song recognition, or tap HQ split: that sends the audio (or a short clip of it) to the services named in our Privacy policy, which says exactly what is sent and what we keep.
Your responsibility for your files
You are solely responsible for the audio and video you process with Extractune and for having the right to use it. You must own it or have permission to use it. Do not use Extractune to infringe on any third party's copyright or other rights.
Paid plans
Extractune's tools are free. When paid plans (Pro) are offered, they're billed by our merchant of record, Dodo Payments. A subscription renews each period until you cancel it. Refunds and cancelling are covered in the Refund policy.
Copyright complaints
If you believe content processed through Extractune infringes your copyright, contact support@extractune.com with details of the alleged infringement. Because Extractune does not host or store user files, most complaints will not apply to content on our servers — see our Privacy policy for details on what, if anything, we retain.
No warranty
Extractune is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. Audio extraction and song identification results are not guaranteed to be accurate or complete.
