How do I find a song from a video?
Pick the video on Extractune, extract the audio, then tap Get the words. If the song is known, you get its name, the artist, links, and the lyrics when they're available.
Why didn't it find my song?
Matching works best on the released recording. Covers, live versions, heavy remixes, humming, or a song buried under loud talking may not match. Trimming to a clear part of the song helps.
Does my video get uploaded?
No, the video never leaves your device. When you tap Get the words, the extracted audio (compressed, never the video) is sent to be transcribed, and a 20-second clip to check whether it's a known song. Extractune doesn't keep either after the request.
Is it free?
Yes, with a fair-use limit on how many songs you can check per hour, to keep it free for everyone.
