How to get the MP3, vocals and instrumental from a Suno song

Updated · 2 min read

Suno songs often end up on your phone as a video: shared to you, or downloaded that way. Extractune turns that video into an MP3 or WAV, and can split the vocals from the instrumental for an acapella or a karaoke track, right in your browser and without a paid plan.

What Suno gives you, and what it doesn't

Suno lets you download a song as an MP3 or as a video. WAV files and stems (the vocals and each instrument as separate tracks) come with its paid plans, and Suno changed its download rules more than once during 2026, so check what your own plan includes in Suno itself.

If you only have the video, or only the MP3, you can still get a clean audio file and the vocals on their own. That's the part Extractune does.

Turn a Suno video into an MP3 or WAV

  1. 1Open extractune.com/extract in Chrome or Safari, on your phone or computer.
  2. 2Pick the Suno video (or the MP3) from your files or photos.
  3. 3Trim it if you want only part of the song, then tap Extract audio.
  4. 4Download it: MP3 to listen or share, WAV to edit in a music app.

Split the vocals from the instrumental

After extracting, tap Split voice & music. The split runs on your own device (the first time, your browser saves the 90MB separation engine, once). You get four parts: vocals, drums, bass, and everything else. Pick Acapella for the vocals alone, or Instrumental for the music without them.

Splits run 10 minutes at a time where the browser can use your graphics chip, 2 where it can't, which covers a whole Suno song either way.

How does this compare with Suno's own stems?

Suno's paid stems are made from the song itself and can come as more separate instruments than four. Extractune separates the finished mix into four parts, the same way it would split any song, so it's the free option for the vocals and the instrumental rather than a replacement for every stem.

Make a karaoke version or practise along

The studio sets a volume for each of the four parts, loops a section, slows the song to as little as 50% without changing its pitch, and moves the key up or down. Keep the vocals quiet instead of gone for a guide track, or download the instrumental for karaoke.

Who can use the song?

What you may do with a Suno song depends on the plan it was made on and on Suno's terms; songs made on Suno's free plan have been for non-commercial use. Check Suno's terms before you publish a song or its parts.
